REAL TALK: I Missed the Recognition

The Summary!
(if you don't want to read the whole thing!)
- Most people treat symptoms—burnout, anxiety, slow growth—but never address the root beliefs causing them.
- I used to hustle harder or throw strategy at problems, but the issue wasn’t the tactic—it was the story I was believing underneath it all.
- This week’s shift is to stop blaming surface-level stuff like the algorithm, your to-do list, or anxiety—and start asking: What belief is running this show?
- Even in my own life (hello, Tums addiction!), I’ve been treating symptoms instead of fixing the root causes—like my eating and drinking habits.
- Real, lasting change only happens when we dig deeper. You can’t outwork a belief that says “I’m not enough.” Go to the root!
↗️ SHIFT OF THE WEEK:
Stop Tying Your Identity to WHAT You Do!
This week's shift is BIG and maybe even a little uncomfortable.
If your identity is built on external things like your title, your business success, your income, your body, or how productive or "busy" you appear......there will ALWAYS be a risk of is completely collapsing leaaving you to feel like:
"Who the hell even am I?" "What's my purpose?"
Because what happens when the title changes or you completely lose it?
Or you decide to pivot? Or your results slow down?
Then this is when you start to question your worth!
But your identity is NOT your role. It's NOT your recogniton. It's NOT what people clap for.
It’s who you are when no one’s watching.
It’s the values you live by.
It’s the impact you make.
It’s who you’re becoming along the way!
Let’s stop building our confidence on a foundation that can be taken away.
⭐ Your Action Step for this week: Identity Reset Exercise
Grab a journal and write this question at the top of the page:
“What have I been tying my identity to lately?”
Be brutally honest. List it all out. Your rank, your business, being a “supermom,” your results, your income etc.
Then cross them out. Every single one of them!!
And underneath, write these truths:
-
I am still ME without this.
-
My purpose runs deeper.
-
I am becoming someone bigger than a title.
Let this be the moment you reclaim your power and start leading from who you are, not what you’ve done. This is a work in progress as always but it starts right here right now.
🗣️ REAL TALK MOMENT: The Dream That Woke Me Up
The other night I had this really vivid dream.
I was at a big network marketing event, and one of my former Beachbody coaches was there, but now with a new company. She was GLOWING excitedly sharing how she’d made it into the top percentage of the company!
And in my dream I remember just standing there thinking:
"SHIT! I miss that!"
Not network marketing or the busines model.
Not the hustle.
But the recognition.
The being seen. The celebration and the feeling of being someone important.
Some part of me still tied my identity to that old title. That role. That spotlight!
But I’m not her anymore.
And neither are you.
We’re allowed to grow!
We’re allowed to evolve!
We’re allowed to let go of what used to define us and choose something deeper!
Your value doesn’t disappear when the title does.
Sometimes it’s after you let go of the old version of yourself that your real power, clarity, and purpose finally show up!
Sometimes the thing you're clinging to is the very thing keeping you small.
So if you're in a season where the spotlight is gone, where you're rebuilding, where you're questioning what’s next…
Take heart and hang tight! We're in this together!
You haven’t lost yourself.
You’re just being invited to meet the version of you that was never dependent on external validation in the first place.
And she’s going to be so much more powerful!
