  • Many women feel pressure to appear like they have it all together, leading to burnout and overwhelm.

  • True strength and alignment often come from receiving help, not just giving it.

  • Reflect on one area of your life or business where you could ask for a little help.

  • Let go of the need to be Superwoman! Asking for help is growth—it lightens the load and deepens connection.

↗️ SHIFT OF THE WEEK:

“Asking for help isn’t weakness - it’s wisdom!”

If you’re the one who ALWAYS holds it together, or at least feels like you always have to maintain this IMAGE of having it all together, then asking for help can make you feel weak or like you’re a failure.

If you are like me, you might not even LIKE asking for help. It makes you feel less capable, or that you can't do it on your own.

And I’m guessing that if you are constantly trying to do ALL the things on your own that you’re most likely feeling burnt out.

It’s like a heavy weight you are carrying on your chest ALL.THE.TIME trying to APPEAR on the outside like you have it all under control- but inside you feel like you’re drowning 🆘!

I have been there far too many times - I get it!

But asking for help is actually the gateway to support, connection and more energy!

The strongest leaders I know and most aligned women who have this calm way about them are the ones who RECEIVE help just as much as they give it!

So here is a prompt for you to STOP and think for a minute ⬇️

⭐ What’s one area in your life or business where you could start small and ask for a little help?

🗣️ REAL TALK MOMENT:

Last week, my husband Nick had ACL surgery.

(not a real picture of him.. LOL)

This is what happens when you attempt to play on a flag football team with a bunch of your friends for the FIRST time in your life and you’re over the age of 40... against a bunch of 20 year olds!

Let’s just say - lesson learned!

SO, anyways - he had this surgery and has been on crutches and basically has been completely down for the count - just sitting in bed with his leg resting for over a week.

That meant that I was in charge of literally EVERYTHING - managing my business, the podcast, shuttling the kids to school and activities, cleaning up the house, making meals, driving him to PT for recovery…….you get the idea.

I was exhausted even thinking about how this recovery was going to go and I wasn't feeling myself - I was getting completely stressed out, overwhelmed and tbh, a little bitchy 👿

The reason for feeling this way initially was me thinking “I’m going to have to do literally EVERYTHING alone on top of ALSO taking care of him. How can I do all of  this?”

That’s when I realized that when someone offered to help me during this time,  that instead of saying “it’s no problem, I got it” that I would take the help and say “Yes please - THANK YOU!”

My parents helped out tremendously with watching my youngest and helping out around the house with cleaning and cooking.

My neighbors helped pick up my kids after school.

Some other friends even sent us dinners to help make mealtime easier.

This is what they mean when they say “IT TAKES A VILLAGE!”

👉 It’s not comfortable for me to ask for help or accept help, but it’s something I’m working really hard on.

And guess what?

By accepting and asking for help, I actually felt much lighter!

Granted I still needed a few more energy drinks to get me through the days 😴-  but the help from everyone was a game changer, and I am so appreciative of it!

Sometimes, the biggest personal growth comes when we release the pressure to be SUPERWOMAN and just be…….real! We’re only human!
